Digital GLP-1 Weight Management Programme Development

We partnered with a leading digital health and weight management provider to design a fully behaviourally-informed digital weight management programme for people using GLP-1 medication. The programme provides a psychologically grounded structure for the entire in-app experience, enabling personalised, phase-matched support across treatment initiation, adjustment, habit formation and long-term maintenance.

The Challenge

A leading digital health provider was developing a new weight management service for people prescribed GLP-1 medication. While the product roadmap included strong digital features, the team recognised that long-term success would depend on more than tracking, content and coaching alone. The service needed a behaviourally structured programme that could support people across treatment initiation, adjustment, habit formation and maintenance, while delivering genuinely personalised, psychologically informed support at scale.

Our Approach

We designed a six-month health behaviour change programme aligned to real-world GLP-1 treatment milestones. Using behavioural diagnosis (COM-B), Behaviour Change Techniques and motivation theory, we developed a phased programme structure supported by behavioural segmentation, personalised content pathways, confidence-building goals and a behaviourally informed engagement strategy.

Solution Delivered

We created a complete behavioural blueprint for a digital GLP-1 weight management service, including a six-phase programme structure, behavioural objectives framework, segmentation and personalisation model, content architecture, goal and habit-building framework, and a psychologically informed notification strategy aligned to agile product delivery.

Impact

The programme transformed the service from a collection of features into a true digital health intervention. It enables personalised, phase-matched support, builds sustainable health habits alongside medication-supported weight loss, and provides a scalable foundation for long-term behaviour change across digital health services.
